The primary objective of this workshop is to provide an overview of the development, function and anatomy of the nervous system. Experts from different fields will present lectures to a groups of 35 students.

  • Synaptic plasticity. Ryohei Yasuda, Max Planck Florida Institute, USA.
Registration
  • PhD Students and Postdocs with a background in biology, biochemistry, physics, medicine, biotechnology, or related biomedical sciencesare invited to apply.
  • This workshop will be held in English and will include lectures and discussion of student’s projects. Participants are expected to bring a pen drive with 2 slides presenting their current PhD/Postdoctoral research to discuss in an interactive lunch with the speakers.
  • Students registered in the workshop (Sept. 2) will also participate in the symposium (Sept. 3-4) and will have a final exam for those who wish to certify the course for credits.
  • Participants who satisfy the course requirements will receive a certificate of attendance.
  • This course will be organized within the frame of FOCEM, which will cover travel expenses and housing for members of FOCEM institutions. However, limited funds are available for students under 35 years old from Latin American countries.
