Organized by the Fundación de Apoyo al Instituto de Investigación de Biomedicina de Buenos Aires (IBioBA), a special lecture was given by the distinguished German researcher.
On Monday, February 3, Dr Werner Seeger, emeritus scientific member of the Max Planck Society and former director of the Max Planck Heart and Lung Institute in Bad Nauheim, was received at the Institute.
Throughout the day, Dr Seeger toured the Institute and held several meetings with IBioBA Director, Damian Refojo, students and researchers. In the afternoon, he gave the seminar “The great importance of the small (pulmonary) circulation”, in which he developed the work he has been doing for years on respiratory diseases.
Present at the conference, in addition to the members of the Institute and external guests, were Pablo Jacovkis, President of the Foundation; Diana Rosenberg, Treasurer; and Cristóbal Zimmerman, member.
