Everyday, IBioBA´s researchers, fellows and technicians attend to INBIRS (Institute for Biomedical Research in Retroviruses and AIDS) to carry out PCR diagnostic tests for COVID-19.
Through the specific fund of the Mercosur Biomedicine Network – FOCEM, of which the Institute is part together with the Pasteur Institute of Montevideo, the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation of Brazil and the Public Health Laboratory and CEDIC of Paraguay, it also participates by providing supplies and materials for the detection and genotyping of the virus, and serological tests.
