Our institute received today a delegation from the German Research Foundation (DFG, for its acronym in German), the most important European research funding organization. The authorities toured the Biomedicine Research Institute of Buenos Aires (IBioBA, CONICET-Partner Institute of the Max Planck Society) during their visit to the Scientific and Technological Pole of Buenos Aires.

Dr. Eduardo Arzt, Director of IBioBA, and Dr. Damián Refojo, leader of the Molecular Neurobiology group guided Prof. Dr. Peter Strohschneider, president of the DFG; Dr. Nike Alkema, advisor to the President of DFG; Dr. Sebastian Granderath, Programme Director International Research Training Groups; Dr. Kathrin Winkler, Director of the DFG Office Latin America; Dr. Dietrich Halm, Director of International Cooperation with Latin America; Laura Redondo, Programme Office of the DFG Office Latin America and Lic. Kathrin Megerle, SCience and University Affairs Adviser of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany through the facilities and laboratories of the Institute.

During the visit the talked with the different group leaders, researchers and fellows, as to know their research lines and international collaborations.
